Add and remove music folders

Add a folder

1. 1Drag one or more folders from Finder onto the Paatu Cassette window (Drop folders to add them to your library).
2. 2Or open Settings, find Music Library and click Add Folder…. You can pick several folders at once.
3. 3The new folder opens and its songs join your library.

• Adding a folder that’s already inside one in your library does nothing; its songs are already there.
• Adding a folder that contains library folders absorbs them into one.
• The Folders page also has an Add Folder… button.

Remove a folder

1. 1In Settings › Music Library, click the remove icon next to the folder (Remove from library). Or right-click the folder on the Folders page and choose Remove from Library.
2. 2Confirm with Remove. Its songs leave your library and any playlists. The files on disk aren’t touched.

Rescan and watching for changes

Automatically watch for new, changed and deleted files is on by default, so you rarely need to rescan. If you switch it off, or something looks out of date, click Rescan Library. Rescans only read new or changed files, so they’re quick.
