Troubleshooting
My receiver isn’t found
Fixes when Find Receiver says “No Sony receiver found.”
- Check the receiver is on the same Wi-Fi or network as your Mac.
- On the receiver, turn on Network Standby (usually Setup › Network Settings) so it answers while it’s in standby.
- Allow local network access: System Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network, and turn on Paatu Cassette.
- Try Enter Address… with the receiver’s IP address, shown in its network settings (for example 192.168.1.20).
Messages you might see
- The receiver can’t do that right now (is it switched on?): click Turn On, or switch it on with the remote.
- Use the receiver’s address on your home network, like 192.168.1.20: only local network addresses are accepted.
- This receiver doesn’t support that over the network: some models don’t allow every mode to be switched remotely.
