Playback
Crossfade, gapless playback and volume levelling
Smooth fades between songs, gapless albums and even volume.
These settings are in the Playback card on the Sound page (the sliders icon in the player bar).
Crossfade
- Drag Crossfade from Gapless (0) up to 12 seconds. The next song fades in while the current one fades out.
- At Gapless, songs follow each other with no pause in between.
- Also crossfade songs from the same album is off by default, so albums play straight through, gapless, even with crossfade on. Tick it to crossfade everything.
Volume levelling
- Off: songs play at their own volume.
- Track: every song is brought to a similar loudness.
- Album: whole albums are levelled together, so quiet songs within an album stay quiet.
Levelling needs to measure each song once. It does this in the background and shows its progress (for example Measuring loudness in the background: 120 of 900 songs done). Measured songs are levelled straight away.
