Smart playlists

Playlists that fill themselves from rules like year, rating and music director.

  1. Click the + next to Playlists in the sidebar and choose New Smart Playlist…
  2. Give it a name, for example “1990s Tamil”.
  3. Choose Match all or any of the rules. New smart playlists start with Year ≥ 1990 and Year ≤ 1999 as an example.
  4. Change the rules, or click + Add rule for more. Click the × to remove one.
  5. Pick an Order by and, if you like, Limit to a number of songs.
  6. Click Create.

Smart playlists update automatically whenever your library changes. To change the rules later, open the playlist and click Edit Rules.
